As pointed out by Restless, the payouts are way to big for the shows. I would like to know what yall think and maybe what you think would be a more appropriate payout system for both shows and races. Once I get enough responses I will see that it gets fixed. Please post away

Any other suggestions that you have in the way of shows/races would be great to hear to. Please let me know if you would like to see something else changed or added or whatever.

perhaps dropping the CH of show to 20k, RCH of show to 15k, ch of classes to 10 and RCH to either 9k or 5k. and then doing like, 1k or 2k for top ten? or, another suggestion: Reward the CH and RCH's with monetary rewards, and do a point system for the top ten? Not sure how keen people would be on that.

I don't think the payouts are all that huge. There are some shows out there that don't give any money, so the fact that you give some is a step that others haven't taken or haven't wanted to take.
Possibly add Herding Trials to your dog shows as well? I've made up a class list for this myself. And for Agility, I've put together a class list that is more extensive, if you're interested.

How about this instead:
For Regular Shows - CH OF SHOW:$20,000.00 RCH OF SHOW:$10,000.00 CH:$5000.00 RCH:$4000.00 1ST:$3000.00 2ND:$2000.00 3RD:$1000.00 4TH:$500.00 5TH & BELOW:$100.00
For Races - CH of Race:$200,000.00 RCH of Race:$100,000.00 Win: $10,000 Place:$5000.00 Show:$2500.00
(Taken from your origional list...)
It rewards the Champion and Reserve Champion of show while still having a money for everyone else.
-------------------------------------------
A Point system would be harder to do, and wouldn't allow for the 'immediate gratification' that a cash reward does... I think more people would go for the cash. :)
---------------------------------------------
I, personally, see a lot more entrants than there has been in a while and would love to see classes with more than ten entrants be split if possible. Example: Show Blah - ect - ect - ect Stallion Halter A CH. RCH. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. ect. Stallion Halter B CH. RCH. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. ect.
I've seen over 30 entrants in a class and it's hard to find horses in that...
--------------------------------------------------
Just suggestions, Hope you enjoy. :)

Thanks for the input yall! I will definitely get something in the works for a new money system and possilby a point system if there is a enough interest in one. Dee as for the idea of splitting classes, I used to do it but I found that it makes doing show results a whole lot harder. There is a huge number of shows held each week and it already takes me all day to do results. It would take even longer to count out ten horses in each class and run results like that. I do appreciate the input though

No worries, just fifty horses in a class makes it hard to find mine. X__X

Dee, go to 'Edit' by 'File' then 'Find on this page...' and type in your horse's name. It'll find every occurance of it on the page and is the way I do results. For the payouts, I suggest it go by levels. You would not expect a 1st level Dressage horse to be winning thousands of dollars at every show. Heck I would be happy getting $100 for first. It makes the earnings really mean something and is so much more realistic. I know my suggestion will be unpopular, but here's my payout anyway: For High Levels (ie Grand Prix): CH:$2000 RCH:$1000 1ST:$900 2ND:$800 3RD:$700 4TH:$600 5TH: $500 No money earned 6th & below. Not every horse wins money at every show in real life. For Low Levels (ie below 4th Level): CH:$500.00 RCH:$400.00 1ST:$300.00 2ND:$250.00 3RD:$200.00 4TH:$150.00 5TH: $100.00 Champion Of Show - $5,000 Reserve Champion Of Show - $3,000 Same for races. Allowance races more often than not shouldn't be awarding as much as a G1 race. Awarding $10,000 to first would be more than fine. If you wanted to start regular 'Big Name' shows and races, those could definatly award more. But the weekly shows I consider more like local or state shows, since they're so commonplace, and I figure they should award money as such. And just for the record I'm against a point system for the board. If people want a points system, why not just make up their own? Lots of people have their own personal farm systems & titles. Like Noel, she's got one. Then once your horse hits each new title in your own personal system you can rave about it on the Farm News board!

I have a way of finding them, I just don't use it.
I really don't like the payouts by levels... It'll make it harder to do payouts honestly.

I was thinking the same thing about the payouts by levels. Im currently working on a new payout system and should probably have it ready by tomorrow. As for a point system, I have decided to nix that idea since Dee came out with her new system

I think the current payouts in races are way too big. Basic harness races here in Finland are usually somewhere around 2000 euros (about the same in dollars) and our biggest SIM racing community has a limit of 2500 euros for the first prize. I have to admit I haven't been giving my horses all the money they should have gotten... Especially if the race had only two-three horses, I just couldn't give the winner $100 000. The $30 000 it seems to be now is better

Im glad that you like the newer pay out system Like a I said above, the only reason that the old payout system was so big was because the shows were very very small and I was trying to attract some more entrants
