Hiya guys! I've always wanted to tell you guys about myself. By the way, I did not alter that picture above except for resizing. My eyes are naturally that color. I'm not sure what to call that color, but it's really cool. I constantly have people asking me if I wear contacts, and if they are colored. I usually take it as a compliment, but it's starting to get annoying. Also, my hair was lighter then that before I got my hair cut. It used to have a bunch of blonde highlights but it all got cut out. My hair is usually ten time fluffier and puffier. Now, I straighten it EVERYDAY.
Now, about me. I'm 14 years old. I turn 15 in August, and I can't wait to drive!! My full name is Lacee Kay Broeder. I am in fact, part german (hench my last name). That's the only heritage I know that's in me so far. I want to know more about my family and history, but until then, I'm mostly guessing. I was born in Nebraska. My family moved to Colorado when I was 2 years old. So I have no memory of living in Nebraska. Though my family goes back 3-4 times a year to visit most of my other family. I have 3 siblings. My 18 year old brother, Kale. He graduates on Saturday. I also have my 23 year old sister, Halee. Then Kendy, my 25 year old sister. I have two nephews, Ezekiel (Zeke) and Malachi (Chi. Pronounced Kye.) along with the baby who is due in July.
I've been riding for 8 years. I first started riding western, then I switched over to English 3 years ago. I've jumped up to 2'6, and am climbing higher. Academy Stables was my first training stable, but when my instructor, Michelle, quit, I moved to Meadow Creek Farm. Amy is by far, the best instructor I've ever had. She's one who will really push you to learn. Which is what I need. I like challenges and usually take on horses most people won't. I've been called "the horse whisperer" MANY times. Animals seem to be a magnet to me. I have no clue how it happens or why, but most "dangerous" or "vicious" animals are my best friends. Ie, my grandparents dog, Oreo. She was abused and rarely lets anyone pet her or come near her. The first day I met her, she was sitting on my lap, letting me pet her.
I've been to two official horse shows. I've gotten 3 firsts, 3 seconds, a fourth and a fifth. I'm going to 4 more shows this summer, riding my favourite mare, Onibi. She's in the pictures above and below. Once again with the horse whisperer, Onibi throws fits with anyone who tries to ride her. But she's a perfect angel with me and absolutely adores me. She can be a bit bratty and bitchy at some times, but she's a challenge.
I have 3 cats and 1 dog. We adopted two of my cats, Spike and Diesel, from the humane society 5 years ago. We got Camille, my manx drama queen, from my old piano teacher. Camille is my baby, or I'm her baby, one or the other. She "stalks" me around the house, always wanting attention. My hyper-active ADD child dog, Chip, is the nutcase of the house. He's 10 months old and VERY hyper. He's a border collie, which explains the hyperness. Here's the story behind him. In a way, he's a rescued dog. My grandparents adopted Oreo, his mom, from the rescue center. The rescue center took her from a puppy mill in Nebraska. A day later she had puppies. The female puppy died a few days later after my grandparents adopted them. When Chip and his brother, Dale, were 4 months, we got them from my grandparents. Well, 2 weeks later, Dale had lost 2 pounds and weighed 4 pounds while Chip was 10. We took him to CSU to see what was going on, and a few days later we had to put him down. His aorta was wrapped around the trachea. So he couldn't swollow food. Surgery was $3,000 and it would have been like open heart surgery, on a 4 1/2 month old puppy. He had a 10% chance that he'd be normal after, a 20% chance he wouldn't get any better, and a 70% chance that we'd have to hand feed him every hour while holding him up right, for the rest of his life. Putting him down was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
Well, if you guys would like to know more, just ask!
