Something else I have been giving a lot of thought to. I've written two separate contracts for "sale" and "lease" horses. Sale horses are horses basically sold condition free and lease horses are horses basically sold under contract. The contracts go as follows:
Sales Contract:
- Stats may not be changed without my permission. This includes, name, colour, gender, pedigree and dsiciplines.
- I would like buybacks if you decide to sell but its not required. I am always happy to take a horse back though if you find you cannot sell it.
- Horses will only ever be reclaimed if I find you have altered the horses stats or are showing it inappropriately.
- Sale is not considered final until a page link is provided.
Lease Contract:
- Stats may not be changed without my permission. This includes, name, colour, gender, pedigree and dsiciplines.
- Horses must be actively shown atleast once a month.
- There are no breeding restrictions on the horse. However stallions must be three and mares must be four years of age.
- You may not sell the horse. If you choose to no longer show it then I require you let me know and I will take it back.
- I have reclaiming rights should you break this contract.
- Lease agreement is not considered final until a page link is provided.
From now on when I sell a horse I've actually sold it. Do what you want with it, its yours. However you may not "misuse" my horses by changing stats or showing them in classes they aren't bred for. Its a peeve of mine and I will not tolerate it. Thats the only reason I will be reclaiming those horse.
Lease horses will be like horses sold under contract. They aren't any different from the horses you'd buy from other barns. I will only reclaim them if they are "misused" or you no longer are actively showing them. All horses are now considered Sales Horses except the following:
Horses under a Lease Contract:
KS Chimerical - Sundance Stables
KS Master Of Disguise - Sundance Stables
