So I'm looking to launch back into sim but I want to get into a game that will keep my passion alive. Unfortunately I'm just not finding that game so far... so I have put serious consideration to starting an new game. This would take some time (and help!) but I wanted to get feelers and make sure I wouldn't be the only prospective player first...
Here are a few outlined notes on ideas I've had floating around about the game.. let me know what you gals think.
.. Probably an english dicipline only game, at least to start
.. Complex randomizer system - points based, some genetic markers, some from previous results, etc.. This would add more challenge to the breeding and how you enter your horses
.. Very possibly advanced aging system - 12 weeks = 1 year (CAS calendar used in Europe), to keep things moving along and to tie into pedigrees (below)
.. If we choose to go with the advanced aging system, use only sim pedigrees to build our own prestige (and to keep horses from being older than RL parents, of course). No "unknowns" so would start by making up pedigree horses? With the fast aging system it doesn't take long to fill up a pedigree, and it's wonderful to see your horses go way back like that
.. Each breed and competition registry highly encouraged to follow as close to real life as possible - if the horse must be inspected in rl before breeding, they shall in the game as well
.. A lot of power would be given to the registrys, so these would start out being game owned and then members would vote in organizers. I would not want corruption stopping a new member from being in the "in" crowd, but I highly value realism above all else, so we won't have any GP jumpers at four years old, EVER
.. stable design, image use, etc. left up to the stable owners.
MATURE, realistic playing whenever possible. This would be a game where we can stretch our wings and see what we can do when we figure out the details of genetics, training, competition and advertisement. Prestige is ultimate respect!
