This post is about icehockey, or rather the memory of a hockey team. I personally isn't a hockey fan, but this one hit home for me. This team (Lokomotiv Jaroslav) was a Russian team, that would've started their season tonight in the Russian hockey league, KHL. Yesterday afternoon the team was on their way to Minsk, Russia, to start their season tonight as I've said. A few minutes after they took off, the plane caught fire, snapped in two and crashed. 45 passengers were on board, 43 died and the 2 that survived are in a critical condition. The plane was checked in mid-August and the inspection was apparently flawless, but the plane was going to be taken out of traffic in just 3 weeks time. Apparently planes can only be used a certain amount of years before they're trash and are taken out of traffic. Why this hit home for me? One of our National teams hockey goalies were on board, and is now confirmed dead. He was just 30 years old, had a wife and 2 kids. He was younger than me. His name was Stefan Liv. This post however isn't just about Stefan, it's about the whole team of course. A whole team is wiped out due to a plane crash. It's unbelieveable and I think I'm kind of in a shock right now. It hasn't really sunk in I guess. What I want to finish off with is: RIP LOKOMOTIV JAROSLAV

This breaks my heart to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the hockey players and the families of the other passengers. Rest In Peace all passengers.
