Splash is not a color you could get from that mix. Did you mean Overo?

Splash is another colour, genetically different from Frame Overo but considered the same "family". The sire is Overo and the dam is solid - if any Paint gene was passed down it would be the Overo gene If you need help with genetics feel free to shoot me a PM. You have the sire listed as Overo, and I assume you are referring to Frame Overo, not Splash.
If I didn't already own a half brother, I would be interested. Hehe Color, I can't pass up another Reining prospect. There's room for him at Double 6 Ranch

Actually Dee ..... Splash is a type of Overo pattern. Overo isn't really a gene itself, it is just used to describe either a Splash White, Frame or sometimes Sabino pattern. The sire of this horse is a Splash White from his pictures and yes, Splash is possible from this cross. People tend to get confused with the Overo term. Like I said, Overo is not a gene - it is a type of pattern, either Splash White, Frame or sometimes Sabino. Some people also use Overo to describe some Dominant White horses, but that is more incorrect. I think of the usage of Overo these days as the usage of Piebald or Skewbald in the past. Overo came into popularity because people didn't understand the different patterns, so it kind of came a catch-all term. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overo

He's a very handsome boy. Would it be possible to retrain him to barrel racing & pole bending? If so I would be interested. Thanks for clearing that up Ashlee

I always assume when people say Overo they're talking about Frame Overos I use the term to mean Frame Overo myself.
Haha, Color, I updated my first post. I can't pass up another Reining prospect, even if I already have a half brother >.< He's welcome at Double 6 Ranch

Good luck with him Shelly, he's a pretty boy Its probably a good thing he went with you, I didn't really need to add another Paint (I own a half brother too), I just can't help myself lol I mean the same thing when I say Overo (as in Frame Overo).

Shelly showed her interest first so he's yours. I know he's already sold, but I wanted to point out that Shelly didn't show her interest first. Kaimelstable showed her interest first and then Shelly went back and updated her thread to show interest as well.
