After taking a look at the Dutch Warmblood studbook I became pretty interested in how they did their stallion selection/approvals. I noticed its a bit different than the evaluations I'm used to seeing in all sim so I was wondering if there was interest in evaluations more closely related to how the KWPN does theirs? This is a very rough draft of my idea but basically it would work like this:
Horses are evaluated for approval as either A) Dressage B) Jumping or D) Harness breeding sires/dams. Horses would be evaluated based on their movement in hand and under saddle as well as go through a performance test and finally lineage.
Since this is a sim game I would want it to focus on sim created/bred horses, therefore any creates in the lineage will not affect the horses overall score.
Approved stallions would then be divided by breed (not ALL breeds will be listed, mainly just WBs & Thoroughbreds. Others would be listed in a general stallion thread type thing) and then divided by type (Dressage, Jumping or Harness) with their scores listed.
I think this could be fun and useful for any sport horse barns. It would be any easy way to find a great outside stallion for your mare as well as advertise your stallions and breeding program. You could breed for better quality sport horses and the highest scoring sires or top producing sires in each breed could be featured somewhere special for extra recognition.
So any interest? Participation would be easy, something like posting the stallions name and link and type of evaluation.
