ASEA Rules
Age Requirements
CIC/CCI Events
- All SAI General Show Rules apply
- Any breed of horse may compete, but keep classes realistic. (Ex. a Clydesdale couldn't compete at the advanced level, etc.)
- One level per horse.
- When entering CIC/CCI events, if you are not sure your horse is qualified, do NOT guess. PM Hanna before the closing date and she will check the list.
- Breaking of these rules could result in a suspension for you or your horses or a ban from the association.
Age Requirements
- Beginner Novice - Training: 4 years old and up
- Preliminary: 5 years old and up
- Intermediate: 6 years old and up
- Advanced: 7 years old and up
- The Future Event Horse Program is for weanlings through 3 year olds.
CIC/CCI Events
- CIC/CCI events will be held periodically.
- Horses must be qualified to enter these events.
- Once a horse is qualified, it is qualified for life. However, they must qualify for each level of CIC/CCI. So if they are only qualified for one star events, they may not enter two star events until they qualify at the Intemediate level.
- Hanna will be keeping up with a list of qualified horses. If you need to know whether or not your horse is qualified, PM her.
- Horses must have at least one champion or reserve champion placing in an official ASEA event at the appropriate level to qualify. Member held shows do not count towards qualifications.
- One star (*) events correspond with preliminary classes.
- Two star (**) events correspond intermediate classes.
- Three star (***) events correspond with advanced classes.
- Four star (****) events correspond to international levels. To qualify for four star events, horses must place champion/reserve champion twice in advanced classes or place champion/reserve champion in a three star event.
