I'm looking forward to seeing this open up too Tessa. A few of my girls need to pop out some more babies before they retire fully from sim this year.

Oh, I just thought of another thing! When I have a foal bred from my stallions, I like the foals to remain at least three years younger than my stallion for realism purposes. Which is also a rule in HF as well (two years old for stallions, three for mares). I'm willing to make exceptions based on the situation, such as a lot of All-Simmers have a different aging system than I do (which one year=one year for me) and that can cause a problem. I can be sweet-talked into it sometimes, lol. For the most part I like to keep it three years and younger.
The other exception is my racing stallions; there's only like two (one? Back in 2007/2008 as my foals are planned years in advance, in some cases) that I've bred while they were actually racing and that was due to disposition. All of my others I require that the foal must be born, even when speedaging, after the date that they retired from the track. I don't like to breed my stallions while they are racing. I know that might turn some people off from breeding to my stallions, which I love freedom of choice and understand and wish to offer that to people (and generally do with my other stallions!). It's a personal choice with my racers though.
