"I'd like to try to "internationalize" the sim horse bloodlines all over the world, as I have contacts to Finnish and American (+other English speaking) simmers. I posted a topic about my idea on a Finnish sim horse forum, and I got very positive replies. Now I want to know what you think about this So, I would want to make a forum, which would work as a horse trading place. People could bring their horses to be sold abroad. I am asking you, would you be interested in selling some horses you have breeded to Finland, and buying Finnish sim horses to your own stable? =) Soon it could be possible!" EDIT // And what do we have now, four months afterwards? Here we have an active, international sim horse community with 238 members from 10 different countries. It started from this trading forum and now it has expanded to a stud book, evaluation and World Cup - and much more, just come and see! We have already helped over 100 horses to find a new home. importedsimhorses.proboards.comSim Horses International welcomes everyone from anywhere on the globe to come and take a look!

I LOVE getting 'imported' horses. I would love to buy new blood lines. However I'm a bit unsure about letting any homebred going were I can't watch them and be sure they are being shown. It be kinda hard to up hold any contracts. Not saying I wouldn't have some I would let go.

I would be interested too! There are a few SAI homebreds already out there in the finnish, danish and swedish sim worlds and I'd be happy to see some more go that way as well. I'd also be seriously interested in getting some new bloodlines in to SAI

Angel, good to know =) Finnish are very active in showing their horses Our shows just are a bit different, we don't have showboards, we have calendars and people hold competitions on their own websites. skurvash.webs.com/erjkisakalenteri.html is our official showjumping competition calendar, and as you can see there, quite many shows are holded

I would definitely breed some homebreds to send over there, no problem. All I would need would be a URL, because I'd definitely be interested in seeing how they do. Also, I'm interested in purchasing some from Finnish breeders as long as they don't have too many conditions on them (URLs, buybacks, and activity are fine though). (:
What breeds are the most common over there, that people would be interested in?

I'd be interested in both buying and selling abroad, depending on the conditions. Any info on what breeds and disciplines are popular there?

Hanna and Amanda H : Racehorses like thoroughbreds would probably sell, also warmbloods, shetland ponies, connemaras, quarters, friesians... Of course some other breeds too, but I can't list them all Showjumping and dressage are the most popular, and then there are some western horses and racehorses. And gaited horses are fairly popular too. jeenny, great, are you Swedish? Meaghan, good to know! An here, ta-daa: importedsimhorses.proboards.comIt's still in need of some colout modifying and I might have spelling mistakes (yes i know about the "Europian"

jeenny, cool! You can probably tell other Swedish simmers about this project? And I'm trying to get the instructions there in as many languages as possible, but as you know, Google translator simply sucks. Could you do a favor and convert the instructions in Swedish? ^.^
