Hey Everyone,
I wanted to post a fun topic to get everyone chatting and to learn more about all of you.
So, my question is...How did you come up with the name for your Sim Stable/Stables?

Blackwell Estate>> Blackwell was the last name of my riding trainer/mentor growing up... Always thought it was cool Winterberry Pine Estate>> Geez, this was my very first stable back in 95 when i first started simming. Winter came from the season I started playing in, Pine was my fav horse i was grooming for and berry just sounded cool i guess! I was 12 so who knows the whole though process

Oh boy. Lets See. I have always had Apple Hill (followed by something), It was started in 1997 when I started SIM. The Apple came from the fact all horses love Apples (I was so smart back then lol). And Hill was from the town in my favorite movie of the time, Hill Valley (Back To The Future).
EDIT:: Also there was a point where My farm went by Show Off Farms .... can we were showing of four best stuff. LOL I was like 13 so

Mine is inspired by the movie 'Seven Years In Tibet', from a quote Brad Pitt's character says.
'If you can imagine a hidden place, Rich with all the strange beauty of your nighttime dreams Then you know where I am"
I like that, so I decided to have my stables in a 'Hidden Paradise' sorta thing.

Back when Lord of the Rings first came out I downloaded an elvish dictonary to name some of my petz (its a computer game) cool elvish names. When I was trying to come up with a stable name I remembered I still had it. Kaimel is elvish for "to dream" so its my "dream stable". I know, I'm so clever lol.

I've had a few....for years Insane Asylum was my stable name (back in the days of HL) but The older I got the less i liked it. I've gone through a few names.. Blodkorning Stable, I forget what it meant.. something in Celtic. Rothwell Inc has followed me around to a few games as has Roisin, and Caughey Inc. I forget what Caughey means now

How interesting reading about how people name their stables! It's sort of like how we find names for our horses, lol. C&H Ranch - established 1998 in Horses Forever. I suppose I could be creative and say that my horses are so sweet in sim that I named my stable after the C&H brand of sugar. But that is not so; my parents used to own a business with their best friend called C&H Sports. The C stands for Carlson (my maiden name) and the H is for Hansen, their friend's last name. My dad still flies the flag on his sailboat, which matches the color and trim of the boat. The boat has a special place in my heart and I love sailing (I practically grew up on that boat). Sierra Stallion Station - established 2000 in Equine Esteem and Horseland (HL was 1998 or 1999 but I don't really count that and I quit HL in like 1999), then again in 2006 in Ultimate Horse (I think that's what it was called), then again in 2007 in Revolution Sim, then imported as a division stable to C&H Ranch when RS closed in 2008 and merged with HF. The name Sierra Stallion Station came about because I live in the foothills of the California Sierra Nevadas, and I wanted my stable to be more of a stallion station for other members than a full on breeding and showing facility.

I actually don't really remember where Fiesta Stock Horses or Arista Manor came from. I just came up with them one day and they stuck with me. I remember I liked Fiesta because it sounded "fun" but still realistic. Arista sounded "classic" to me and I thought it worked for my vision of what I wanted Arista Manor to be.

I think Running Freely spawned from when I was really into mustangs (about 15 years ago). I just never got around to changing it or updating it.

I just liked the word "Serendipity" and then after I saw the movie with the same title, it made me like it even more and thought it would be a great name for a Sim stable. This was back in 2002 when I started simming.
Galal Arabians came from browsing through Arabic words looking for a good one-word name that could also be used as a prefix for homebreds. Plus I really liked the meaning, too.
