About AH Match Race

AH Match Races were first held on AHSG. But since the show grounds have been closed, the match races have been moved here. The Races put 20 horses head to head in the hardest race around. Their are two different Match Races, one for Thoroughbreds and another for Stock Horses. While the races are open to any gender and for ages 3 to 5, horses must be Graded Racers (GI, GII,or GIII). Thoroughbreds will race on dirt track for 8 furlongs. While the Stock Horses will run on dirt track for 550 yards.

Any points won in this race(s) can be used for SAI titles.

Round 1: This rounds cuts the horses from 20 to 10. Horses that win this round get 20pts & $15,000.

Round 2: This rounds cuts the horses from 10 to 5. Horses that win this round get 40pts & $30,000 & all winners from previous rounds.

Round 3: This rounds cuts the horses from 5 to 4. Horses that win this round get 60pts & $45,000 & all winners from previous rounds. The #1 horse will race the #2 horse. The #3 horse will race #4 horse. The #5 horse will race the horse who lost the first race. Then the losers from the 3rd race and from the 2nd race will race for the last spot.

Round 4: This rounds cuts the horses from 4 to 2. Horses that win this round get 80pts & $90,000 & all winners from previous rounds.

Round 5: This rounds cuts the horses from 2 to 1. Horse that win this round get 100pts & $120,000 & all winners from previous rounds. The overall winner will get a banner for the page as well.
