I'm looking to either buy or (preferably) breed to an Appaloosa stallion that carries the splash white gene. I'm hoping somebody has one. I'm willing to work something out if anyone is willing to let me get my hands on one.

TQ. Can't Track Me DownMighty Bright x Impressive Black Gold Stallion - Appaloosa - 2008 - Black minimum splash Mighty Bright ( sire: Encore, dam: Elegant Elly) is red dun splash white blanketed Appaloosa stallion and is responsible for pulling splash white into the breed. We have tested TQ. Can't Track Me Down and he is also caring the gene. Edit by Ashlee: Link to Mighty Bright's photo removed due to hotlinking.

He sounds gorgous, I'm very interested in him. What disciplines is he suitable for?

His parents compete in Trail and Western Riding. So I think he will be suitable for that. But he's young so things can change and he maybe have unknown talents that you can found out. I only have one condition: I allways want to have his link. Would be fun to be able to follow him

Awesome, I'd love to bring this boy home to Kaimel. Giving you an updated link should be no problem. I'll probably keep him as a trail & western riding horse.

I don't know how realistic you're trying to be Heather, but Mighty Bright died in 1974. The horse Color posted as the sire is a real horse, and the horse she posted as the dam is a Sim horse. Also, Color - do not hotlink to photos that are not on your own site, it is very bad and you are costing the owner of the site money by using their bandwidth. Hotlinking includes not only posting the link as an image on another site, but also linking directly to the image.

Does that really matter then? Younger version of Mighty Bright? Maybe they could be related? Or just same name, breed and color. Don't know how importent the sire is for you (real, sim, just a name...) kaimelstable. It's up to you Well we are doing so in Sweden. Sorry if I broke rules, it wont happen again. Don't care about these things you bring up Ashlee but maybe that's information is important here?

Hm I was hoping you happened to have a stallion named Mighty Bright lol I'll still take him though, I don't mind that much. He's a sim horse, theres no way he could really be related to a real horse anyway when you think about it. Besides I didn't check the ages of sires/dams I used for my created horses, so its probably a little late for me to care now I'll get you a page url by later today.

Well I didn't saw him like a "real horse" cause I didn't have his pedigree. That can explain why I then didn't care about "the real horse" age. But I really understand that it's a mistake to use the real horse name. Will think about that next time. Then I have to ask something so I understand here. Isn't it okey to breed with a real horse (not like this case then but if we now say a more realistic age) with a sim horse? Or is it only okey to breed real x real = sim horse? Didn't really understand: "The horse Color posted as the sire is a real horse, and the horse she posted as the dam is a Sim horse." Do you Ashlee mean that it's wrong or what have I missed now? ^^'

Maybe I can help. Some simmers do breed real horses to their sim horses, I don't really see a problem with it Most people do the real x real to get a sim horse as well. I don't see a problem with that either. I think Ashlee was just pointing out a few things with the Mighty Bright stallion that you had listed, because there is a real horse with the same name...no biggie, she's just trying to be helpful. With so many horses in the real world and so many in the sim world, it's not difficult to come across a few [both real and sim]that have the same name, again that's not really a big issue either, unless the horse has the same name, bloodlines, age, colors, etc as the real life horse. That can get someone in trouble if the real life horses owner comes across it and decides to make a big issue out of it.
As for the picture thing, that's the big thing. If caught hot linking pictures from a website, the website owner can take legal action because it is a form of copyright infringement. She's just warning you about that so that you don't get in any trouble with the pictures. Also with the picture front, it's always easiest to save them to your own computer and then upload them to an account on photobucket or something.
I hope I've helped to clear this up a little

Yes I understand that ashlee trying to be helpful and I'm glad for that. Thank you Tessa, now I understand the thing by breeding with sim and real horses.

Another thing about crossing real x sim is that some games wont allow you to import the horse if you ever wanted to. I know that Heather probably wouldn't be importing him into a game, but I know that for example, Impulsion Sim frowns upon horses that have a real parents and a Sim parent. So it's nice to just make people aware of what they're buying, just in case that is their intention later on.
