So this was supposed to be the RCHA 2010 Spring Sale. But it's going to open on June 1st, so now it's a Summer Sale!
We're still looking for consignments to the sale. So far Julia has been so kind as to consign several lovely horses to the sale, but we'd love to see some other members donate a few of their great working western horses they have in their barn.
This is what we're looking for:
* We're glad to accept fresh creates, homebreds and just any horses you may have in your barn that you want to throw in there. Show records are not necessary! We do ask that any horses be removed from your show string upon consignment, because I'll be entering them in a few of the upcoming RCHA shows to get them a nice start before the sale opens.
* Horses MUST be showing in, prospects for or retired from working western events, preferrably Reining, Cutting, Reined Cow Horse, and Working Cow Horse events. We will accept older broodmares and stallions, as long as they are meant to be in a working western breeding program and not to be bred for pleasure or english events.
* We'll accept all reasonable breeds, however please don't attempt to consign your Dutch Warmblood or Clydesdale or Akhal-Teke, etc. We're looking for working horses! Acceptable breeds would be: Quarter Horses, Paints, Appaloosas, Quarter Ponies, Pony of the Americas, Appendixes, Arabians, Half-Arabians, Morgans, Colorado Rangers, Mustangs, Australian Stock Horses, etc. I think you catch my drift. No sport horse, draft or harness type horses. We will accept some Baroque-type horses, though keep it reasonable!
* Contracts, buybacks, URL requirements are very welcome! We understand that sometimes letting go of your babies is a hard thing to do. I will be sure to link to any contracts and will note all conditions that are required upon consignment. It is up to you though, to ensure new owners follow any conditions you set, however we will they post URLs when required before the sale is made final.
* Horses consigned as condition-free will have buybacks to the RCHA placed upon them. This is just so that these consigned horses do not disappear down the road. Everybody hates it when they put time into a horse and they -poof- disappear into thin air. We're not going to be strict about it, but if a horse disappears for a few months and the member cannot be tracked down, we'll go ahead and take it back and show it some and resell it to another RCHA member. Plus, the RCHA will always gladly take back any horses sold through the sale that you find you cannot keep.
* Pictures are not necessary, I will be finding suitable pictures for all horses as I add them to the sale.
Please PM me or post here with any horses you wish to consign or any questions that you may have!
Again, we encourage everybody to consign a horse, even if you create it just for the sale, it's completely welcome!
