Alright, I'll be the first to admit that I stalked this forum for a decent amount of time before joining to make sure I had some idea of what was going on. This is my first simming experience (beside the few automated games I'm a member of), and I have just a few questions. 1.) Where is a good place to get my Thoroughbreds in some races? I made a member-hosted race in the ASRA, but no entries yet. 2.) My goal in All Sim is to have a stallion station of some sort, so I am wondering if most people prefer sim lines or real life lines. Myself, I prefer real lines because those seem to be more recognizable, but I can invest in some sim based stallions if the need arises. 3.) This is not really a question, but if anyone is looking for help hosting/getting results for shows or races, I'm going to have quite a bit of time on my hands for the next couple of months (my mom is continuing her chemo and my dad is starting his so besides school and my real life horse time I have to stay with them). I thank you ahead of time.

1 - You could try the INJC or possibly The Sim Community (links to both should be on the advertisement board). The INJC is kind of slow right now, but should pick up after the new year.
2 - What kind of stallion station are you planning? I actually just opened up sim's first (that I know of anyway) all breed stud farm this last spring. It's been nice to see how it's done. I prefer sim bloodlines over real life. For me, it's nice to see an established sim horse as my horses sire/dam. I know, a lot of overseas players also prefer the sim based lines due to some issues that they've had using real life lines.

The Crossroads also hosts regular races for Thoroughbreds.

I second that I dont use real life lines, since we had some serious trouble with real-life horse owners concerning using real life pedigree on our virtuel horses pedigrees. Plus, as Tessa said, its nice to see a horse going its way. You start without any bonus of real life lines, you work all your way up until your horse "is someone" thats a good feeling

Welcome! It's nice to see a new face. 1.) Sorry, I'm no help on this one, lol. 2.) My personal preference is Sim lines. I think it establishes consistency and it feels great when your horse earns something similar to what its sire and/or dam did in the same association. It feels REALLY awesome when you look at one foal that has multiple generations of sim bred horses, and it's even better when it's YOUR horses, lol. I'm really proud of my stallion Ehecatl CH++ - he's a seven generation C&H Ranch bred horse, and considering I age my horses one RL year = 1 Sim year, I feel it's quite a feat. Plus I can look at his pedigree and pick out so many horses that are known game champions (mine or not). I think it just takes awhile to become familiar with them, but the sim horses because just as recognizable as the RL ones. That being said, almost all of my sim horses do go back to RL lines because I don't like empty pedigrees. 3.) Wow...both? I am so sorry to hear that. I wish you and yours the best and quick healing.
