I want to apologize to my fellow simmers, especially those who have sold me horses with the understanding that they would be actively shown. I have had a very exhausting few weeks.
It started with my job, my hours were changed and I am now working longer days. Then the only other person on my team decided she didn't like the management style (and I quote "I want to do what I want, when I want and I don't want anybody telling me what to do!" Yes. That is exactly what she said..) and quit. I am now handling about 85% of what my team is responsible for on my own. A new person has been hired, but she will not solely be my back up like the last girl was.
The second thing that happened was my relationship with my husband nearly imploded in my face. He actually walked out on me at one point. We've both made some changes to make this work, but that means spending less time on the computer (in fact, this is the first time in five days I've touched my personal computer), and more time on the couch or out doing things.
The third thing was Danny. Danny is an older Quarter Horse gelding who has no one to love him or make sure he's cared for. I've started riding him about once or twice a week and I LOVE it. He seems to love it too.
So I'm spending less time at home overall, and what time I am here I'm either couch surfing with the boy or trying to organize my apartment so that moving will be easier and I can actually have people over.
I've been puttering around a little, but not a lot and I promise to try to do more. I'm going to massively reduce my herd. So if you've sold me any horses you may be receiving PM's from me asking if you want them back. I'm also going to finish the reorganization of my barns (I split them up). Right now, realistically, I don't expect to be 100% "back" until January 2012. I have a ton of family coming in from all over during the month of December because my Uncle is graduating college so I will be running around from place to place visiting with people I haven't seen in...years.
So. I'm here, sort of. I'm going to reduce my herds, get all caught up on show records through the end of the year, and intend (and all chaotic things in my life start with the best of intentions - let that be a sign) to be back full force in January.
