I was wondering if there is any interest in a Miniature Horse and Falabella Association. I know there is a pony association, but that's about the only place that these little guys ever get to show, so I was wondering if anyone would like to see an association dedicated to the showing and breeding of these breeds.
I've already got a rough classlist, that I have used for a Miniature Horse Association in one of the games I play, which can be added to if there is interest, and if I've forgotten any classes that would be beneficial to add.
I want to launch Saraid as not only a stable, but also as a smaller Showgrounds.
Any suggestions, comments etc?

Personally, I don't know if there is enough people owning these horses, I know I don't. However, if there were an active association, I may get myself 1-2.
I know Zala is positive to this idea though lol.

I LOVE this idea I just don't know how many people would really participate. I know I'd show all my Mini's.

Well, I'm glad to know that there are a couple of people interested. I'd probably have some sort of promotional auction, to try and get more people enthused about the idea of a Mini Association. I'll be getting more minis to add to the couple I already have, so that means that there will be at least 2 (poss 3 with Zala?) members with a fair sized show string to compete, plus possible others with smaller mini herds. How is the following for a classlist. Anything you want to see added? Some of the colour classes that encompass a number of coat colours would probably be split further, depending on the number of horses that are competing. I'm also thinking of adding in produce of sire/dam classes or sire/dam with progeny classes as well, plus perhaps splitting the liberty class up into age categories, so younger (prospect) horses can compete. That would also depend largely on class sizes, I suppose, and interest. HALTER CLASSES 1. Weanling to 3 Year Old Colts 2. Weanling to 3 Year Old Fillies 3. Four to Eight Year Old Stallions 4. Four to Eight Year Old Mares 5. Nine Years and Up Stallions 6. Nine Years and Up Mares 7. Gelding Open 8. Lunge Line (Up to Two Years Old) 9. Halter Obstacle (3 And Up) COLOR CLASSES 10. Black 11. Grey 12. Chestnut / Brown / Sorrel / Bay 13. Buckskin / Palomino / Dun (inc. grulla) 14. Roan 15. Pinto Pattern 16. Appaloosa Pattern 17. Other PERFORMANCE CLASSES 18. Pleasure Driving 19. Country Pleasure Driving 20. Roadster Driving 21. Obstacle Driving 22. Pairs Driving (2 Horses) 23. Fine Harness 24. Liberty 25. In Hand Jumper 26. In Hand Hunter 27. Trail 28. Costume 29. Versatility I think I'll definitely go ahead with this association, if no one objects. It will be up as soon as I get Saraid set up as a showgrounds

I think it looks good. Only things I would add/change on the class lists is I'd like to see the produce of dam/get of sire type classes. Also I do think the chestnut/brown/bay & palomino/buckskin/dun classes would get really big compared the the others.
But I'm glad your making the association. I'm looking forward to the promotional auction, I could use some new lil guys. Also if your interested I could donate a foal or two with minimal conditions (url/reclaim rights).

I likely wont be involved because I don't have any Minis, but I'm not a fan of color classes in associations, personally. It's all personal preference of course, but I tend to think of color classes as kind of an "old" thing and not very realistic.

Heather: Will definitely add some produce of dam and get of sire classes And I will be splitting up those colour classes, I think. You're right. They will get rather large, rather quickly, I suspect. Ashlee: Thanks for your input, Ashlee. Each to their own, I suppose. I guess I'm an "old" fashioned simmer. Colour classes have always been a part of games I've been in, ever since I was a little tacker.
