My barns 1 year anniversary came and went and I didn't even notice lol. I don't think most people know much of anything about my barn so I thought it'd be fun to compare its small beginnings to what an operation it has become and the progress of some of my favorite horses.
I started in May, with four horses. Two Morgans and two Arabians. My original focus was Morgans, Aztecas and Warmbloods competing in Eventing, Jumping & Dressage. The breeds I showed the first few months were Arabians, Azetcas, Quarter Horses, Caspians, Thoroughbreds, Dutch WB, Swedish WB, Trakhener, Iberian WB, Andalusian, and two ponies. All of which competed in sporthorse events except the Arabs & Caspains.
One year later I now focus on Morgans, Morabs, Miniature Horses, Welsh Ponies and Aztecas in a wide variety of disciplines including driving, western, eventing, jumping, dressage, barrel racing and pole bending. I must have atleast one Morgan to do every discipline I focus in haha. I do have several of other breeds but only a handful. In total I have roughly 162 actively competing horses.
Some of my boys that I'm exceptionally proud/fond of:
Noble To My Master - Welsh Pony
My first pony who truly got me into the breed. I now have atleast a dozen. He's my first and only horse to have achieved the highest title in any given association. He competes well as does his first foal KS Noble Heir who has just begun his undersaddle career and who has already titled at the age of three.
Kuutamo Knock On Wood - Miniature Horse
Another guy I purchased on a whim that led me to amassing another herd. He's my first mini. I really got him on a whim, he was too cute and perfect to resist. Has a decent record on him though I haven't had him long.
Stealing Kisses - Morgan
I love this guy. He's possibly my favorite Morgan stud with beautiful babies. He has produced some of my most stunning homebreds so far. His show record isn't exceptional at this point in time but he is consistent which I really like and he's progressed well.
Talk Is Cheap - Quarter Horse
This guy is fantastic. He's hands down the best dressage horse in the barn. And is handsome black coat only makes him better. I've been very pleased with his foals as well. He's young at only 5 but has achieved a lot already. This guy may retire young.
Some young homebreds I have high hopes for:
KS Express Train - Miniature Horse
I just have a feeling he will become a star. He's talented and a looker so I'll just have to wait and see if how he does.
KS Love Song - Morab
The only colt out of my favorite Morgan stallion. He has his fathers pretty looks with his dams sabino markings. He turned out to be exactly what I was looking for.
KS Smokin Royal - Morgan
My dream horse is what this guy is. I really couldn't believe my luck when he was bred. I think he will make a truly stunning show horse. And with any luck he'll pass on his good luck to his future offspring.
KS Gunman - Thoroughbred
I don't know why but this guy has really stuck out to me. I really like his sire and somehow I just know he wont let me down. And he's a sabino which was a nice bonus too.
KS Crawel Golden Ticket - Welsh Pony
I just love this little guy. I had just got his sire as a present not long before I bred this little guy. His dam is a Cross County queen and he definatly followed in her hoof steps.
