Powell Stables was originally established in 2009, Powell Stables was formed by Marlie Powell and a good friend, Tommy Jonson. Determined to breed the best of the best, Marlie and Tommy went on a quest to find their first Quarter Horses. They came up with their grulla stallion, Dun Being Gold, as an abonded foal. Their next horse, the mare Rebel Target, was already a National and World Champion at eighteen years old. After that came a birthday present from Tessa of Southern Acres Inc. Soon came more horses of quality backgrounds, destined to be the best.
Powell Stables is located in Elk Point, Nevada; only minutes away by horseback to Kings Beach. The stable is located on nearly two hundred sprawling acres of land.
