I would hazard a guess that I'm known for my warmbloods and Pleasure stock horses. And my Saddleseat string. Since I've been at SAI, I've always known I can go to Tessa for pleasure kids, Ashlee for her quarter horses/paints, and Pia for her Arabians. aww <3 i feel loved.

Hmm...I have things that I'd like to THINK I'm known for...I think it would also be fun to make a post where others say what THEY think you are known for, LOL.
That being said, I've been playing sim since 1998 so I suppose I've established something. I'm probably most synonymous with Horses Forever, the longest existing game in SIM, which is the first one I joined and I've been there ever since. I love the contact and friends in All-Sim, even though I'm not active in the associations and such located in All-Sim. Though I do buy and sell breedings with you lovely ladies here. I'd like to think that I'm known for some of the foundation Horses Forever horses of the day, and that C&H Ranch has grown into a high-class Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Pintabian breeding and showing stable. We still offer our multi-breed champions of the past for stud. Some of my stallions and mares have really made their mark and are known simply by name now, and that feels really great.

I started simming in 2008 with dogs in the NCC. Originally I had joined several years before but quit and got back into it.
Haha it'd be funny to hear what people thought they were known for. I assume I'm not really known for anything except having a lot of Morgans lmao I don't think people would think any of my herds are exceptional or anything and its not like I own any well known stallions. Most of my horses are young still (weanlings-5yos).

I think the better question would be what do other people see you as being known for. =)
I guess I'm probably known for my Working Western horses and my Russian Arabians. At least that's what I prefer to be known for lol.
I've been Simming since summer 1999 =)

I think the better question would be what do other people see you as being known for. =) That sums it up for me as well Ashlee lol That's really a tough question to answer but lately I've been having luck with getting AHAC competitors from the old sim lines (DJN Coke Prince, G Achilles, Jehozadak, etc) so my answer would have to be quality all around, but mostly in the Polish/Egyptian areas since my Crabbet/Russian program is only 2yrs in the works. Summer 2006 is when I first joined WF show grounds.

Hmm...I would like to be known for my racing Thoroughbreds and my show jumping/dressage Hanoverians. I also put a lot of work into my Arabians, but haven't done much with them the last few years. But who knows what I am really known for! Ha!
I've been active in the Sim world since 2002. I really can't believe it's been that long...

Hmm...I would like to be known for my racing Thoroughbreds and my show jumping/dressage Hanoverians. In my book, Hannah, you are totally known for your racers! xD Now that I have my Arabians in order, please inspire me to get my TB act together and become active in the INJC again. T_T Didn't your sister play for a while too? Or am I totally imagining that.

Thank you Juclecia:-) It's nice to know that my TB racers have become somewhat my "trademark"! Hmm, I'd be happy to send some lovely racing babies your way to inspire you to start racing them again. *evil grins*.
Yes, my sister also used to play under the name May Reed. Good memory! She quit a few years back when her class schedule in real life got too crazy to keep up on the Simming. I still have a few of her horses, although she mostly just retired them.

Well I have three things I am or want to be known for. 1. Lewitzer breeding. In Finland I am the leading breeder now and gonna keep up the work. Now my next project is to sell some foals abroad and encourage new people from abroad to get familiar with Lewitzers. Maybe even breeding them : ) 2. SHI. The forum is dying, and I am now trying to spice things up and attract people back there. I wish Sim Horses International can be remembered in the future also, and maybe people think that this small person here made something big to international sim : D 3. My new project ridingponies.proboards.com is my attempt to get familiar with American-style board simming. I hope it will some day be a big Riding Pony stud known from unique bloodlines which have been connected from all over the world. I am also trying to make it a meeting place for more people that me, myself and I, and a well-known showboard. The journey has began, the first jumping show is open :-D

I started playing sim so many years ago. I've done a lot with Arabs but I don't think any of my stock were ever considered top horses in sim. I really enjoy my sporthorses and had a good run with TBs but..... What I've learned is you are much easier to have ONE type of horse at each stable - so Castrol is just for sporthorses (breed doesn't matter as much as sport - eventers, dressage and jumpers). It is a pretty small stable, I think only like thirteen horses right now. Newport was just Thoroughbred racers. 1) this keeps records easier 2) you are able to concentrate everything about that stable - from the "staff", "facilities", etc. and make the stable seem very realistic. Sorry gals, but it's just not as impressive when you see a stable with fourteen different sports all under one roof. Split them up! For ME, it has always been about the individual horses, not being known for anything. I really like where I'm at now with very few horses (actually, Castrol is my only active stable as I'm closing Newport - got sick of all the LJ rule changes I guess that make it near impossible to enter races with any imagination). I enjoy NOT selling and buying horses all the time! When you've played as long as I have, it's more about having an individual horse for many years, even if they are a gelding or a stud that has few or no offspring. You see them "mature" and watch as their career goes on. The goal is NOT to have every horse reach top levels - but to reach a level he competes well at and is consistent with his breeding, etc. I would MUCH rather have a third level Dressage gelding that consistently places well and has done it in and out, than to have four grand prix horses that have no real business being there. So there's my soapbox What am I known for? I don't think anything, but I know myself for the horses that I enjoy and the stories that make sim still a GAME - not just work! Other than that, I guess coding? I've gotten fairly good at the limited PHP that sim requires and it has made my simming life so much easier. Yes, I could use this to have 500 horses in every sport and I wouldn't know anything about any of them, but I would much rather keep my small strings and have fun with them knowing the coding behind them

Haha I am SO one of those people. Its interesting to hear your perspective on how you run your stable. I had never thought about it like that. For me, theres so many things I really enjoy I couldn't possibly enjoy one so much I could get rid of the rest.
I have lots of herds with lots of horses but the day I don't know them as individuals is the day I cut back. Its why I like making them pics so much. Thats how I know all my horses. When I think of them I see their pic in my mind. Each one is unique and some of my homebreds I can see the mark of their sire/dam on them and it makes me proud. I would never want a dozen advanced eventers or grand prix horses. Like you, I'd love to breed just one who really could shine and I felt deserved that spot.
Recently I decided to take all my under saddle horses out of halter because if a horse is going to title I want them to title based on their talent as a competitor. Titles should be earned with hard work and over time. I don't care if others don't think my horses are impressive because they aren't 3 time Hall Of Famers. I will think they are impressive because they are Regional Champions who didn't compete in every class under the sun.
For those mares who don't compete very well, they get sold or retired. Lets face it, in real life a horse who couldn't place wouldn't be shown year after year. To me it makes the title seem forced. I don't like that. One such mare turned out to be one of my best broods and I love her to pieces.
For me the fun in simming isn't just the horses. Its the idea that I can make something of my stable. Its not just seeing my horses mature and progress but also watching as my stable grows and becomes something great.
