Guys Im gonna be gone for an undetermined amount of time. Steven left the gate open and the two of the dogs got out. They went over to the neighbors house and he got scared and started to shove a taser in their faces, trying to scare them off. Well Jazzy started barking at it and the friend of the neighbors shot and killed her. I don't know how long I will be gone or when I will be back. I'll post again in a few days to let you know.

Thanks ladies. After I calmed down enough to deal with the cops I got the whole story.
"Steven forgot to lock the gate and the wind blew it open. Well apparently the got out and went and seen a guy that was at the neighbors house. This guy is a cop and he pulled out his taser and started shoving it at her and antagonizing her with it. Well supposedly he "feared for his life" and instead of tasing her, he took the time to put his taser away and he pulled out his gun. When Jazzy saw the gun she started to run out of the garage. As she was running out, with her back to him mind you, he shot her three times and killed her. The El Paso Internal Affairs Bureau is conducting an investigation to decide if the cop was justified in using his weapon. I don't know why they bother wasting the tax payers money because they will find that he was justified in the shooting. Though of the three shots that he fired they think one of them hit his truck, which serves him right for shooting an innocent puppy that was running away."
I will be around, I just won't be doing much. I am so sorry, if feels like every time I can become active this year something else happens that brings me to my knees. I can't wait to see 2009 end and I hope and pray that 2010 is a much better year. If it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck.

Try and keep your chin up honey... I know things have been really rough this year... but i think you're turning out a much stronger person for having to have gone through it all. You still have all your other kids, and they'll love you as much as you need If for whatever reason you need someone to rant to or whatever, you know where you can find me. I hope they find his shooting Jazzy unjustified... Especially if she was retreating.

Oh Tessa I'm sorry. I mean really what kinda -Put number of curse words here- would shot a dog that was running from it. I mean really? There are other ways to scare off dogs. I hope they find it was unjustified. I mean if he shot his truck, then he could of very well shot a human. If you need anything let me know. I'm sure things will get much better for you soon.

Wow. I'm really sorry. You should really look into leash laws and such in your area. You may be able to find a loophole in there and get his ass. Personally, I'd probably of told him to turn his gun around on himself, but that wouldn't have ended so well for me. Take all the time you need, and if you need a hand trying to research laws in your area let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks ladies. Im just so ready for all of this drama to be over. We talked to animal control yesterday and now they are pursuing a dangerous dog case out here because the cop shot Jazzy. The ACO even tried to say we never let them know that we were coming into the state with them, which is bullshit because the county that we left contacted them and an ACO came out to our house a few days after we moved in and took pictures of everything and said that they weren't going to pursue the dangerous dog. Again, all she did was bark, but apparently barking makes a dog dangerous. So to all dog owners out there, don't let your dogs bark at people or you will end up in the same shit that I've been dealing with this entire freaking year.

Barking makes a dog dangerous? WOW. Thats just stupid. You want a dangerous dog you should meet my moms Chocolate lab Bobo. He doesn't just bark, but he goes after people. He has never bit anyone, but he has come close. My little dog Pubby (she is a mutt). She has bit every one in my family. She bit my brother when he was younger, close to his eye. She ripped up my dads nose. My ex boyfriend has to go to the hospital when she bit his lip. She has also bit me and my daughter.

A couple weeks ago I guess a lady called out the sheriff because two of our dogs (at my family's in Nevada) came to the road a few times when she road by on her horse. We live on a dirt road, we're the ONLY ones who live out this far.
Anyway, the sheriff came out to check it out. Gus, our big yellow lab came up to him tail wagging, blubbering all over the place and the guy just laughed. Then up came Lily, my Mom's miniature schnauzer and by that time I guess he was already heading back to his car shaking his head.
People are not only hypochondriacs but they're hypocritical too. Yesterday two of our dogs got out and were gone for about five hours and I was so worried something like this was going to happen.
Our main problem in the world today is stupid people like this.

I feel ya Ashlee. When all this crap first started happening in July, the ACO that handled our "investigation" (I use that word very lightly because it was done half assed) said it didn't matter how sweet the dogs were and she said that from everything that she saw they were all very sweet and mildly protective of me (they barked at her twice and then quite). That the only thing she could use was the incident that happened and that is how they ended up being declared viscous and sentenced to "death" until I fought it and got it lowered to dangerous. This was all because they barked and then a neighbor started making up stories about two weeks after the initial incident.
Then this happened and now they are trying to declare them dangerous out here, which again is freaking ridiculous because again the whole reason Jazzy was killed was because she barked at someone who was shoving a taser in her face. I can almost guarantee that when she went into the garage to see him she was wagging her tail with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth. But being a moron this guy said he "feared for his life" because a 50lb, 11 month old puppy was wagging her tail, that was why he pulled the taser in the first place and then pulled his gun out. This guy was a young kid, fresh out of the academy with a license to carry a weapon and he wanted a reason to use it. He used it so recklessly that one of his shots missed my baby and hit his own truck. What if one of those shots would have hit a kid? A few of our neighbors are furious over all of this, absolutely every one around here loved Jazzy and the adore my other babies, because again they are absolutely the sweetest dogs I've ever had.
Like you said, people are just freakin dumb and they stereotype a dog by it's breed. Jazzy was a full blooded pit bull and that was the whole recent for his "freak out"

Tessa I know I'm way late to this post but I'm so sorry to hear about Jazzy. People are stupid and I really wish there was more public awarness about the difference between aggressive dogs and "aggressive breeds". "Punish the deed not the breed" really needs to be a more wide spread belief I think. My sister owned a purebred Pit Bull and she was easily one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. In fact every Pit I've met has been very friendly like people expect Labs to be. My families Min Pin is easily more dangerous than any Pit I've met. Last year my aunt was attacked by two German Shepherds who got out of their yard and she was attacked (bit multiple times); not barked at. She was even on the other side of the street, minding her own business so they actually ran her down and basically mauled her. Those are the kinds of dogs that need to be investigated. Not intimidating breeds that are barking at people. Besides, if all barking dogs could be considered dangerous than I can think of several Chihuahuas that need investigating... some are very serious offenders that should probably be on doggie death row.
